This site features some of the art and activities of Christine Klinger. I'll leave it up for now as it has some pieces for sale. Feel free to look around and make a purchase if you're so inclined. We're going through some changes so please bear with us. Life will be better post-COVID. To stay tuned to what we're up to out here - feel free to visit our newest site: THE STUDIO in the "Links I Like") area. Thanks!

Native Bead Artist at WSU
In my role with the WSU Multicultural Center, I recently installed the artwork of Katrina Mitten of Huntington, Indiana in the Student Union Art Gallery. Katrina is a Native American bead artist who has been beading for over 35 years; she works in the Great Lakes beadwork embroidery style. Her pieces are both contemporary and traditional in design, and she is known for her jewelry, bags, jackets, and her woodland style cradleboards. Katrina has won purchase awards from the Eitlejorg Native American Art Museum in Indiana for a cradleboard and a child's outfit, both of which are now in the museum's permanent collection. The WSU exhibit runs Tuesday, October 26 - Sunday, Nov. 21; I'll be taking it down in the afternoon on Monday.
